Our History

Established in 2012 as a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit

Established in 2012 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit named in honor of James “Jimmy” Doolittle, commander of WWII’s historic Doolittle Raid, the Doolittle Institute dba DEFENSEWERX (DWX) is headquartered in Niceville, FL.

DWX operates ten Innovation Hubs located across the United States.
Our current hubs include:

- Cyber Fusion Innovation Center (CFIC) in Augusta, GA
- Doolittle Institute in Niceville, FL;
- HSWERX in Niceville, FL
- ERDCWERX in Vicksburg, MS
- ICWERX in Tampa, FL
- Nautilus in Arlington, VA
- FLEETWERX in Monterey, CA
- SOFWERX in Tampa, FL
- ENERGYWERX in Washington, DC.
