Joanna Gomez joins the DEFENSEWERX team to provide direct administrative support for the Executive Director and to assist the Controller. As the Business Manager, Joanna will manage the day-to-day administrative functions of the organization and will support DEFENSEWERX innovation hubs throughout the country.
Joanna brings extensive experience as she previously served as a Business Manager with the Doolittle Institute, a DEFENSEWERX Family Innovation Hub in partnership with the Air Force Research Laboratory. While in the role, Joanna was responsible for bookkeeping, monitoring spending, maintaining financial records, and working with the Director to develop business forms, templates, contracts, and annual budgets.
During her career, Joanna held various roles, including Accounting Manager, Senior Accountant, Business Manager, and Licensed Property Manager.
Joanna received her Bachelors in Business Management and Masters in Accounting from the University of Phoenix.
